 My trip to Machu picchu

Two years ago, exactly on February 14, 2018  with my ex-girlfriend we traveled to Peru with the dream of knowing one of the wonders of the world, for that I worked during the year for be able to afford the trip.

Our trip began on February 7 and lasted until February 27, we traveled by plane to Arica from there we crossed the border to Tacna where we stayed 1 night to buy some things, then we left for Puno where we visited the floating islands and were able to be present at a religious celebrity, after 3 days we traveled to Cusco where we had a lot of fun getting to know the culture.

To get to Machu Picchu, we went by car to Hidroeléctrica in a total of 4 hours, then we walked for 3 hours along the train line until we reached Aguas Calientes, where we had dinner and then slept for the next day start the adventure. I got up at 4:30 in the morning to start climbing Machu Picchu walking and get to the top at 7:00 in the morning, it was a very hard road but the experience was unforgettable, I met wonderful people and had an unparalleled connection with nature and the culture of the Incas.

This has been the most beautiful trip I have ever had because since I was a little girl I always saw pictures of this wonder of the world, it was a dream I thought I would never fulfill but I did it sooner than expected, besides sharing it with my ex-girlfriend made it even more special. I recommend you to go and see this place and be surprised with the culture of Peru.

Blog 4_Week 5: My future job

Lately I've been thinking a lot about what I want to do in my future. I am currently studying forest engineering, but the field of this career is very broad. So far the only thing I know is that I would not like to work in the production area, nor in the wood industry. What I like best are issues related to the production and propagation of plants, also restoration, fire and conservation of soil and water. I don't know yet about any specific work, but I would like to cover these topics, so I would like to do a diploma or a master's degree on these subjects.

Another thing that I like a lot is environmental education for children, it is something that I would like to carry out in a parallel way, I believe that it is key to improve many aspects at a country level about the importance that nature has for human beings, and in this way to be contributing to change a mentality from the beginning of age with the youngest ones.

Despite not being completely clear on what I want to end up working on, I know that I want to leave a legacy based on what I like to do and what I am passionate about, which is love for nature. Finally, I would like to tell you that one of my dreams is to establish my life in the south or north of Chile, although I like the south better, I would prefer any place outside of Santiago.

My first tattoo

During all these years I've never been interested that get me a tattoo. Today it is very common for people of all ages to decide to get one or many tattoos, however, my interest had never existed so far.

Together with my cousins Fabiola, Sofia and Nathalie and my sisters Valeria and Mariela, we designed a tattoo to remember my maternal grandfather  who died on August 23rd of this year (2020). It was a painful and sad loss and we still suffer from his death. In honor of him, we decided to get a tattoo and remember forever a unique phrase he used to say when he was happy and saw his family together. My maternal grandfather was a humble person who made that from the love to the family made that nothing was missing, for this reason I am very happy that my first tattoo was in honor to him. That day we got up early and went all together, the tattooer was a friend so she made me trust her work. There were six of us and it was a total of four hours of work, so we were part of the morning and afternoon there. I was afraid because it was a new experience but the pain was minimal and I liked the result very much which you will see below.

An event in the past

It's hard to talk about just one concert I went to because I've been to so many and I had a good experience at all of them since I was a big fan at that time in my life.

During my childhood and my first concert was at the Movistar Arena where I went to see Patito feo, a series that I liked when I was little girl. Then in my teens I went to see Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Justin Bieber, One direction, Sleeping With Sirens 0and many Chilean music festivals. At that time I had a lot of energy and time so I spent hours standing in line to get into concerts under the sun or buying really expensive tickets, however, I have many anecdotes and good memories.

Then in college I went to Chilean cumbia festivals, mainly to the Fonda Permanente for the 18th of September where we had a great time with my sister and friends.

In the year 2019 I started working at the Movistar Arena and there I had the opportunity to listen to some artists like for example Cultura Profetica, Denise Rosenthal and see some amazing concerts like Andres Rius. As a consequence of the social outbreak and world pandemic I was left without a job but I would like to come back.

Blog 1_Week 2: A country I would like to visit

One of my dreams is to learn English. Since I started my school life I have always had this subject, however, I have never been able to learn it. This is why I would like to be able to travel and get to know a country where the native language is English and in this way one day finally be able to learn it.

New Zealand

New Zealand is one of the countries I would like to visit and also stay there for a few years. I think it is a destination where I can acquire a great learning related to what I study because it has beautiful landscapes highlighted by its endemic fauna and flora, also for its language (English) and culture.

What are some interesting places I could find?

Milford Sound, also known as Piopiotahi is one of the main tourist destinations to see in New Zealand. It is a fjord located in the southwest of the South Island whose beauty is indescribable. In fact, many consider it the eighth wonder of the world because of the breathtaking landscapes it offers to its visitors.

Kahurangi National Park

This national park is the second largest in New Zealand, but not only its extension is striking as it is a place with much charm and a superb nature.
